Re: What do you like about NXT?
I like that they don't try to blow their load every single week and they take a slow and steady approach to build ups. It is also refreshing that it is a one hour show with squash matches, character building segments, and that most everything makes at least some kind of logical sense.
The commentary is also not annoying. They aren't great, but I'd much rather have that rotating team over the earsplitting awfulness that we get on Raw from the Three Stooges.
And I like most of the wrestlers. NXT has proven to be a successful system for developing guys for the main roster and the current crop has some good talents in there and is about to get better when Steen, Devitt, and Kenta show up.
As for right now, I enjoy Tyler Breeze alot and he really impressed me right from the first time I saw him. Sami Zayn has a big Indy reputation obviously and has more than lived up to the hype. He's great. Tyson Kidd contributes tot he best of his abilities. Not the best talker, but is a good hand. I like Bull Dempsey and his old school bruiser type of style. I like The Ascension's presentation. The talents themselves are still a little green, but they are booked exceptionally well and cool to watch because of it. I think the Vaudevillains are hilarious. And the women are typically really good, like Charlotte and Bayley.
Even the main roster guys that make special appearances come off better in NXT than they typically do on Raw, like Summer Rae, Adam Rose, and Bo Dallas. That whole Keystone Cops bit they did with Bo a while back was hilarious. It really made me want to go back and watch his run as NXT Champion because that must have been a hoot.
I could sit here talking nicey nice about NXT all day, but the best way to sum it up is that it is just fun to watch, and it is nice to watch WWE Programming that doesn't showcase many of the pitfalls with modern day wrestling programming.
