They already did Cole signed a new deal with ROH right after. Steen's move set wouldn't be a huge deal. He would lose the Deep Sea Diverticulitis and The Package Piledriver but I'm not sure he would lose much else.

Their both dangerous if the people receiving it doesn't properly adjust their head. Big E Langston almost landed on his neck a few weeks ago.

I've made my opinion on Kevin Steen known. He's great and would be even better in WWE. If WWE was smart they would sign him because he would become a big star if they let him. A guy with his look, his love for wrestling and his mic skills would have no problem getting over nowadays.
