Who Will Replace Cameron in Ascension
 

The Ascension was one of the best things coming out of NXT, the dark and brooding gimmick hasn't been seen in WWE for a long time now and with the tag team division needing a revolution, seemingly Ascension were the ones to lead it.

However, with the release of Kenneth Cameron, Ascension is looking in jeopardy. Fortunately, both Ascension characters are easy to replace with a little charisma, a good physique and long hair anyone can replace Cameron. In the ring they have done very simple but effective tag team manuovers and with a little time the new guy will develop good chemistry with O'Brian.

My question is who should replace him? Of course you can only choose guys on the WWE roster.

Here are some possible replacements that people have been talking about but please add anyone you think:

• Curt Hawkins
• Drew McIntyre
• Judas Devlin
• Leo Kruger
• Kassius Ohno

I don't think Cameron is as easily replaceable as some are saying. Looking at that list - I don't know. Cameron was very good in the gimmick, he has been in it for a year plus and he had the charisma to pull it off with some believability - which is key for such a gimmick.

I hope the assault on a police officer was more of a push/struggle to get away from being cuffed or something and it can be plead down or something. I mean it was a $5000 bail, so it's not like he kicked ass or anything.

Looking at the current roster, I think TAC might actually have the best look for the part, however he's green as grass. Devlin is probably next and I think he'll probably get the role if Cameron is replaced - most comparable to Cameron physically.

I think a decent alternative would be to use Sakamoto. Have him be Conor O'Brian's ward, similar to his previous role with Tensai. They team up on occasion, but Conor is mostly used as a singles guy. Conor is given the moniker of "The Ascended One", carrying on the Ascension gimmick as a solo star.

I dont think anybody can replace him... the gimmick is ruined if Cameron really got released

If Cameron got released I could see WWE dropping the Ascension gimmick altogether which would be a huge shame.

Just go out and sign Jimmy Jacobs to a contract and partner him with O'Brien, give them some time in NXT and there you go.
