WWE's Feelings On Kassius Ohno
A lot of fans were wondering why NXT star Kassius Ohno, the former Chris Hero, didn't debut with Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns on Sunday night at WWE's Survivor Series pay-per-view.
We noted recently that WWE officials were talking about bringing some NXT stars to the main roster and the Survivor Series angle was the result of that. Ohno was never talked about in regards to being brought to the main roster now. Officials are high on Ohno but the feeling is that he needs more "seasoning" before being called up www.WrestlingInc.com/ |

Seasoning? Hes been wrestling since late 90s. Reigns has been wrestling since 2010.

Well yeah, he's not exactly done the best in FCW/NXT. I mean his NXT work blows the FCW stuff out of the water (which says a lot about how lacklustre that was) but he's still not on the level he's achieved elsewhere. Reigns has a better look than him for the group that called up anyway, he looks like a better enforcer. Ohno still needs work, WWE is something that needs adapting to. Look how long Rollins was down in developmental and it's done him a world of good compared to his ROH days. Cesaro got it straight away though, shame his partner couldn't. I assume he'll get there eventually.

Translation = "better hit the weights kid.."
Not that I disagree with it, but, other than his shape, I don't know what other seasoning he needs tbh? |

Ohno's Character needs a lot of work. Good in the ring but wasn't too impressed with the promo on the last NXT. Needs at least 6 months more.

I'm sure Ohno will be apart of a group of guys that debut after Mania if he hasn't already. By then, he'll most likely have leaned up and fine tuned his character enough for the main roster. I wonder if he and/or Bronson will be protege's/enemies of Barrett's upon their respective debuts.

Re: WWE's Feelings On Kassius Ohno
I'm not buying that his in ring style and adapting to the style is holding him back. I've seen a ton of his matches from the indies and the guy can literally do anything in the ring. I've seen him and Cesaro work a match like they were luchadors for 10 minutes. In ring wise the guy can do anything.
Maybe character wise he needs work. I honestly haven't been following him in NXT/FCW, as I just don't do that with anyone in developmental. On the other hand I've seen him play a few different types of characters and he's always entertaining. He did some awesome heel stuff in ROH when he was with Sweet 'N Sour Inc. and he was hilarious. Ohno/Hero is something that I have total faith in when it comes to getting into WWE and doing well. |
Re: WWE's Feelings On Kassius Ohno
It's more likely he's not been called up because he's holding down FCW/NXT. With Rollins off the show, I'd be willing to bet he'll take NXT champion for the next little bit.
Also, there is the matter of his physique. |
