He's awesome, but unfortunately I don't see this gimmick as a main event character. He's got the mic skills for a main event role, and the ability to play a creepy heel, great mannerisms, but for some reason I can't picture this character holding a title (main event or not), it doesn't seem like it fits. If they do it, good on them but I won't hold my breath, I'd expect others to get it first, I could maybe see him running with a stable in the main event like Barrett, but then get dropped down.

I mean in regards to NXT, and not so much the WWE. I think he could easily be the top heel for NXT until he jumps to the main shows.

As great as Wyatt is, he's too much of a "character" to be a top heel. Not that being a character is bad, but in today's WWE, those types of characters don't reach the top too often (King Booker being the only recent exception I can think of). I guess a member of his "family" could very easily reach the main event level with Wyatt as his manager/mouthpiece, but in a wrestling capacity, i doubt it.

Talent/charisma draws. Not size.

Being top heel on NXT is like being the tallest midget.

I think he could be a top heel on the main roster, maybe not right away but he's certainly capable in my opinion and he has time on his side. I like what they're doing with him on NXT with the 'Wyatt Family' I'm not sure if they'd be comfortable putting that on the main shows though because of it's obvious similarities to Charles Manson and the wack-jobs that followed him.

Personally I do hope they bring him in soon, along with a group of followers, have him as like the cult leader or messiah, similar to what Taker was doing in the early days of the Ministry of Darkness. I think that would be some pretty interesting television and would ascend him to a top heel status quickly. Although as I mentioned earlier, with WWE being so PC and image conscious these days, don't count on it.

I could care less how meaningless it seems that being the top heel is in NXT is to you. I happen to watch NXT, and think it's desperately needing a definitive heel to work the program. Right now Bray Wyatt has shown nothing less than awesome with his well developed character. His mic work sounds smooth, and he is really coming off as a legit persona. I like what they have done with NXT in the last year. However, Seth Rollins needs a solid feud with someone, and I think Bray Wyatt is the perfect candidate.

No he isn't, he's too good for NXT. Rollins should be feuding with McIntyre or something, Wyatt should be on the main roster.

I maintain what I said, being the biggest heel on NXT is like being the tallest midget.

I think OP is reaching a little bit. He's talented but let's see what he's got and what kind of platform he's given before we start talking about top heel. This is how people get overhyped. He's not even back on the roster yet.

No. He won't be a top heel.

I said it elsewhere around here, but this is easily one of my favorite characters.. It's gotta be influenced by another of my favorites, Waylon Mercey. Another gimmick rip? wouldn't put it past anyone, but it doesn't matter because the son of Irwin R Shyster got that shit on lock. I just wish WWE was in a situation where they were using their heads more.. if they were Bray would be the perfect character to replace the undertaker. Sinister and dark, but believable for the newer audience, and not a rip off. They need him.

I feel that Bray Wyatt could be a top guy with the current gimmick he has. I think people will flock to the gimmick. His character is so dark and interesting, that it could get over. The problem is that his character is way to dark for what the WWE likes to promote on TV. If he makes the main roster, he will be stripped of anything that makes him interesting and he will basically be relegated to being Husky Harris with a Cajun accent.
