Re: Official WWE Main Event Weekly TV Show Discussion
I enjoyed this. It had a different feel to it than other shows and both matches were good. Lots of build up here too so it gets the thumbs up from me.

Man Tyson Kidd is fun to watch, which he was such a jobber.

The Sheamus-Punk match was awesome.
Full of reversals, good moves, very physical match, and Surprising end.
ME is quickly becoming my favourite show, if this continues.

Re: Official WWE Main Event Weekly TV Show Discussion
Thoughts on the new show:
I like how they spend the first 15 minutes of the show hyping up the Sheamus/Punk match. With both guys getting enough time for a video package and a short backstage promo, made the match feel like a big deal. The sneak peek of Punk's new documentary looked sick too.
The Sheamus/Punk match itself was decent, albeit nothing amazing. The first half felt quite uneventful and it was only at the finishing stretch when things became interesting. I'm not ragging on Sheamus because quite frankly I'm a fan of his, but Punk was the better man here. He plays a much better heel than face and it shows here. Punk flipping out when he realized was about to get Brogue Kick'd was golden. Fun match with a surprising ending.
The tag tournament quarter final was tonnes of fun for a 5 minute match. Santino really works best in this environment and his exchange with Gabriel was actually pretty amusing.
Overall, I thought the first episode of Main Event was pretty entertaining and the different structuring of the show was a breath of fresh air and set it apart from other WWE programing. I'm not a fan of Orton/Show having a longish match next week, but the show's fresh new way to present the 'main event', definitely warrants a watch for next week's show.

Re: Official WWE Main Event Weekly TV Show Discussion
I liked the show.
What I hated was Ryder and Santino winning.
I mean... Kid and Gabriel were awesome and Rhodes and Sandow will win the next round anyways so no one gets hurt if they gave Kid and Gabriel another match!

Phooey. I can't watch this on Hulu via TV. I have to watch it on Hulu through my computer.

I might have actually watched this if it weren't on the shitty Ion Channel which NO ONE HAS because it's garbage...
Pointless.

Sheamus/Punk was fucking awesome, and I'm loving the feel of Main Event, let's just hope that this show actually STAYS on tv. Also did anyone notice how Punk no sold Sheamus's Irish Curse?

I imagine it will remain on tv at least until the contract with Ion expires (whenever that is). It's not like they couldn't have found a place to stick NXT and Superstars if they'd actually wanted to do it. Instead, they tried to get cute and keep those shows back "for the network." How's that working out for them?

Sheamus/Punk was good
Tag Title tournament match was okay
Opening promos were GREAT. Good job by WWE to introduce a new audience to the two champs.
