Who has the best gimmick in NXT right now?
It seems that ever since Triple H took creative control over character development he has brought back the gimmicks in wrestling. This is something is even rarely seen in TNA nowadays.
Anyways, I will have to say Bray Wyatt. It is not original, but I see a new twist in the Cape Fear gimmick and this guy pulls it off better than Waylon Mercy.

We should make a list of NXT gimmicks.
Bray Wyatt- Southern disturbed leader of a cult?
Leo Kruger- Hunter who looks for the perfect prey.
The Ascension- Sinister, vampire-like guys.
Seth Rollins- Punker/Rocker.
Kassius Ohno- Sadistic KO specialist.
Corey Graves- Underground hedonistic.
From WWE:
Johnny Curtis- Creepy.
Húnico and Camacho- Mexican gang.
The Usos- Samoan youngsters being contemporary while maintain their heritage.
Then, a list of guys that maybe have a gimmick, but I'm not sure:
Trent Barreta- Freak weirdo?
Rick Victor- He has a very good villain look, but that isn't a character for now.
Big E Lanston- Typical muscled monster.
Finally, a list of generic and pointless guys.
Richie Steamboat, Bo Dallas, Xavier Woods, Nick Rogers, Jake Carter, perhaps Dalton despite having nice tights.

This is a solid list.
I might have slipped Rollins into the might have a gimmick list, because it's either not much of one, or he's terrible at it.
I still think Victor would fit into Ascension.
Most faces are Generic, Smiling Guys anyway, regardless of where they fall on the WWE ladder. |

Ups, thanks to you I noticed I put twice Richie Steamboat when my intention was putting Bo Dallas.
Yes, I agree with you talking about Rollins. Doing headband and having two-coloured hair doesn't count as a gimmick when you are a CM Punk clone, for me. But most of the people here think that's a gimmick, so...
And yes, NXT faces are terrible. Bo Dallas and Richie Steamboat fail miserably at having a personality or standing out in something. |

Bo and Richie are basically the same guy anyway. Richie manages to not look stupid and can sort of wrestle in the "I love arm drags" way. I have no use for Bo, so I approved of seeing Richie listed twice instead.
I'd rather be stuck watching Dalton, since he can really go in the ring AND has nice tights. He definitely doesn't have a gimmick though.
