Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

kanye is fucking up, period.

i hate when rappers beef with other celebrities that arent even in the game. eminem does it all the time.

and fyi, the same people that label him a douche, are the same exact people who send those paparazzi to his place at 4 am

I wonder if Eminem will still be dissing Mariah Carey on his new album

I don't blame him, but he's a smart enough guy to know that everytime he does that, that encourages them to keep stalking him because he gives the reaction they want.

If he just ignored them and didn't say a word, didn't acknowledge their presence in any way, gave them no material to work with, they'd leave him alone.

I'm hoping to see some footage of him spraying them with a garden hose or something.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

I think Kanye is a fantastic artist, some of the shit he did on his last two albums production wise and artistically is pretty amazing. But when he does interviews like the radio 1 with Zane Lowe the other day that's being talked about, how can he expect to be taken seriously and then complain about not being taken seriously? I mean, it was entertaining as hell, and he came out with some pretty good stuff, but when he gets asked a question about his music and then it ends up in an out burst about race and class and discrimination etc, he comes off as very childish. He says people are irritated by him calling himself a god and the best artist on the planet because he's black and if a white person says it then people would be fine with it, that's such a deluded and ridiculous thing to come out with especially when the question had nothing to do with his response.

I do understand the frustration, because that video above is very irritating to watch, and he is attacked by the media a lot, but like was already said, he is s smart guy, but his temper is ridiculous and if he learned to control it he'd be much better off.

In that video posted I was almost expecting him to try to hit the paparazzi with his car

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

Listened to most of Drakes discography today

Thank Me Later>So Far Gone>Take Care>NWTS

NWTS may go up in the next week depending on the replay value, I think the albums dope though. Only skips for me were Connect & 305 To My City. Replay value will be the big question. Favorite tracks are Tuscan Leather, Pound Cake, & Too Much. Gonna listen to Comeback Season & Room For Improvement tomorrow but I can't see those tapes changing this list. Thank Me Later is still his best work though imo.

Does anyone have separate .mp3s for Pound Cake & Paris Morton Music 2? Sometimes I think I'm gonna want to be listening to Pound Cake without Morton Music 2, and vice versa

"Get a job with some respect" sums this video up pretty nicely.

Paparazzi don't work like that. As long as he's a star, they'll keep provoking him. Kanye just needs to get HIMSELF right and make sure HE'S good because there's nothing he can do about paparazzi or the media. They won't leave him alone. He just needs to cope with it better.

I'd probably agree with that order. I feel like putting NWTS above Take Care, but that's only because I've been playing Too Much/Pound Cake/Hold On We're Going Home a lot. I'd say Tuscan Leather is the best all around track on there with Pound Cake coming in close second. Pound Cake's beat is 6 but lyrically it doesn't stand up to Tuscan Leather IMO. I really like Jay's verses, but they're overrated.

And I could chop the track in half and upload both parts if you wanted.
