We're talking about clothes here. Not crimes. Black kids dressing like their favorite rappers. Stay focused.

So NWA is a good example of that, getting Raiders gear to pop off, and later on Dre getting White Sox hats over.

And not that is has anything to do with the discussion either, but the majority of rap consumers are white, because the majority of PEOPLE are white. I'd get into how the %'s of whites and blacks that listen to hip hop differ greatly, but that might be too confusing for you because I doubt you ever even learned your times tables.

Hell I remember when I was younger I would always want to wear a bandana like 2Pac or Juelz Santana did. And I remember dressing like Nelly with headband, jersey and Air Force One's unit. Sometimes I'd even have the bandaid too

Probably two of the more overlooked dope rap groups, who are overlooked almost solely for their NAMES. I'm convinced if both groups had cooler sounding names, they'd be much more popular because both groups made/make dope music.

And there's a difference in Raider's gear & White sox hats. Skirts are generally seen as a feminine, something which I from personal experience could never see a kid in the hood wearing.

Umm, yeah, they would. Because, you know.....most people aren't FUCKING RETARDED. There's a big difference between I'm going to wear a white sox hat because Dre does, and I'm going to shoot somebody because Dre rapped about it. Good Lord.

Haha, I see you edited.....not in time though! I caught it!

Brooklynati is really underappreciated. Tanya Morgan get my approval, and they should get yours too.

But you said people in the hood looked up to rappers. Surely if they were primary influences they would do the same.

But hey that same logic could be applied to kids in the hood wearing skirts.
