There are lots of rumors of where Nirvana was headed before Kurt died. They were either gonna break up or go in a totally different direction music wise. I read Kurt really wanted to make a folk sounding album (like their unplugged) or play drums on the next album with Dave singing.

To me, the thing that appealed to me the most with In Utero is how raw the songs sounded, a big contrast to Nevermind's more polished production values (even though it's still a great album). Songs like Serve the Servants, Scentless Apprentice, Rape Me, and Radio Friendly Unit Shifter made the album sounded more heavier which was perfect for teenage angst. I consider the album to be the most "Grunge" as it was dirty, raw, and powerful.

Definitely my favorite Nirvana song, however I think Nevermind is a better top to bottom album than In Utero, it's funny because Radio Friendly Unit Shifter and Milk It are my two favorite Nirvana songs but Nevermind has more songs that I like.

Anyways, Siamese Dream.....that's my shit!

Indeed. As good of a drummer as Grohl and Matt Cameron was/is I think Jimmy was as good as anyone at that time.

Agreed about 1979. Amazing pop song. Zipper Blues is my username for lots of things.
