Ska Punk

Ska Punk is the music that sports fans, especially football fans, listen to before, during and after games. Anybody a fan of this genre? I recently found this song (look below) and liked it. Do you know some more good Ska Punk songs?

I accept Hayley Williams rep.

Re: Ska Punk

I was heavy into ska punk during 8th/9th grade, I even had a ska band or two of my own during that time.
I've kind of moved on, but there are still some great bands from back then in that genre. This might be a long list, but here are some I liked:

Sublime were the originals, and (in my opinion) the best of all time at mixing the two together.

Re: Ska Punk

I never listened to them before, but no I've got to say that Sublime is not something that I like. Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish, though, I think is pretty good.

Re: Ska Punk

Sublime were fucking awesome. Huge fan. I actually don't mind some of their new stuff with the new singer, which is cool seeing as I was convinced I was going to hate it.

Less Than Jake are good. Especially live. Their albums have gone a bit downhill over the last few years though. Capdown and Imperial Leisure are some lesser known bands that I like.

Right now I've been listening to a lot of Mad Caddies. Another fantastic live band that have been around for years now.

Re: Ska Punk

Operation Ivy - discography compilation
Streetlight Manifesto - Everything Went Numb
Less Than Jake - Hello Rockview
Capdown - Civil Disobedients
Catch 22 - Keasbey Nights
Mighty Mighty Bosstones - let's Face It

Those would be my essential choices, probably in that order.

Re: Ska Punk

OP is the worst example of Ska Punk. Five Iron Frenzy is a great Ska band you should give a listen

Re: Ska Punk

Definitely recommend checking out some bands like The Specials and The Beat, Its more 2 Tone than Punk but it's Ska none the less. Was lucky enough to see The Specials last year and they were awesome!

Re: Ska Punk

Being a huge fan of punk rock and pop punk music, I LOVE ska punk music. Operation Ivy (who used to be sort've like hardcore ska, which is insane haha), Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Sublime with Rome, Goldfinger, and Voodoo Glow Skulls are my kind of bands!

Can't wait to go to the Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, and Zebrahead gig in January with my older brother.
