Best concert(s) you've been to?

Most of us have sat through a performance, whether it be at a festival or a headlining tour. If you've been to more than one concert, which one did you enjoy the most? Who was performing? What was the atmosphere like? Where did the concert take place? Discuss.

Acdc. 1991. Auckland New Zealand. The first concert I'd ever been to, but still the best.

For me it's a tie between Nine inch Nails in 2008, Amon Tobin in 2011, The Police in 2007 and Mr Bungle in 1999. First two had amazing visual effects, but all 4 stood out as being memorable for different reasons. Probably forgetting a few, went to a handful of shows. I'd even throw in the Osheaga festival from last Summer that had a Woodstock feel, a lot of great bands were on the bill.

Oasis- Finsbury Park 2002. I went to all 3 days but the middle (saturday) day was the best. Absolutely epic gigs and an epic weekend of sleeping in a van and washing/brushing teeth etc. in a Tesco toilets

I might not be able to post an answer in this thread for a day or two as I have some thinking to do.

But oh what lovely thoughts.

I would have loved to have seen Mr. Bungle. Big Mike Paton fan. Hoping to see NIN when they tour later this year, provided they come here.

Assuming that this is your first time seing them, you won't regret it. Saw them 3 times, and Trent always gives his all for the fans. Head like a Hole is usually the track where everyone goes insane, so heads up on that. I remember telling you about the new lineup a few weeks back, this may be his best tour in a very long time if everything clicks the way it should.

Saw both Mr Bungle and the Fantômas Live, like you i'm a huge Patton Fan. Too bad I never got to see Faith No More in their prime, that kinda sucks. 'Twas one of my favorite bands when I was growing up.

Re: Best concert(s) you've been to?

Maybe not the best I've ever been to but the one that always springs to mind first:

The Jesus Lizard a few years back in London. They're one of my favourite bands regardless, but you know how reunion gigs go, they're hit and miss at the best of times, but this was something else. The tightest live band I've ever seen, one of the best performances, one of the best set lists. All in all, probably the closest to a perfect show I've experienced.

If you're a fan, look at the set list and realise how good it was http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-je...-43d20b0b.html
