Re: Recommend An Album

Rancid's "And Out Comes The Wolves" is my favorite punk rock album of all time. I highly recommend it to everyone who likes good music

Lots of good (full length) videos that dont suck (including wrestling) @ www.dailymotion.com/AntiFlag607, check it out.

Re: Recommend An Album

There's room here for both threads IMO. If you like the other post than go there.

I'd like to recommend a classic release by AC/DC.

AC/DC - Let There Be Rock - (Australian Release) - 1977 - Hard Rock

1. "Go Down" (5:20 for vinyl) 5:33
2. "Dog Eat Dog" 3:35
3. "Let There Be Rock" 6:07
4. "Bad Boy Boogie" 4:28
5. "Overdose" 6:09
6. "Crabsody in Blue" 4:45
7. "Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be" 4:15
8. "Whole Lotta Rosie" 5:22

This is the Australian Release which includes Crabsody In Blue instead of Problem Child which was on the U.S. Release. This is one of my favourite AC/DC releases of alltime. If you haven't heard it. I think it's the Bon Scott era of the band at it's best.

This is AC/DC at it's most powerful. This album hits on all cylinders. This album made them huge in Europe before they hit the U.S.

Re: Recommend An Album

Agree, as much as I love I$E and his posts/threads, he ain't the be-all-and-end-all. Plenty of other posters have recommendations I'd love to hear.

My plug. Eighties hair metal basically extended from everything the Crue did, but this (their debut album) in particular has a completely different vibe from what we've come to know as Motley Crue. Why? Because it was a punk-rock record, given time and context. It's only in subsequent years that the 'hair metal' label stuck.

Fast, heavy (for the time) and unabashedly in-your-face. This is THE forgotten Crue record.

I love professional-wrestling.

Re: Recommend An Album

I figured I'd add another to keep the thread rollin'. This a great Classic album that I grew up listening to.

Bachman Turner Overdrive - II - 1973 - Rock

Track Listing

"Blown" (R. Bachman, T. Bachman) – 4:18 - (vocals: T. Bachman)
"Welcome Home" (R. Bachman) – 5:29 - (vocals: R. Bachman)
"Stonegates" (Turner) – 5:35 - (vocals: Turner)
"Let It Ride" (R. Bachman, Turner) – 4:27 - (vocals: Turner)
"Give It Time" (Turner) – 5:44 - (vocals: Turner)
"Tramp" (R. Bachman, T. Bachman) – 4:02 - (vocals: R. Bachman)
"I Don't Have to Hide" (T. Bachman) – 4:22 - (vocals: T. Bachman)
"Takin' Care of Business" (R. Bachman) – 4:50 - (vocals: R. Bachman)

This is a great old school release. Does include the big hit Takin' Care Of Business. But the album start to finish is one of the best releases Bachman Turner Overdrive ever released. If you've only heard the single Takin' Care Of Business. This album might surprise ya as to how good it is.

Hopefully someone will discover this old school album. Enjoy

i$e deletes posts he doesn't like in his thread and its pathetic one person is considered the holy god of music on a forum especially when he has none of Kanye's work in his little hipster list.

Re: Recommend An Album

I'm fairly certain that i$e only posted that because all his recommendations were in those links, and not to advocate the closing of this thread. Come on now..

Anyway, killer recommendation for hip-hop fans, this has to be the sickest DJ mix i've heard in a very long time. A nice blend of oldschool and new school, and nothing but quality throughout. The Herbaliser mixed this and it shows that they went out of their way to craft something special. Got into this over the weekend, and spun this multiple times, it's THAT good.

Re: Recommend An Album

I wasn't trying to start a war between the two threads. I've looked through the other thread. It has some good recommendations. Some I own myself. When I started this one. I didn't know there was already a thread like this here. I thought the other one was personal recommendations. I wanted to create this one for everybody. Hopefully people who enjoy music in the other post will also post there recommendations here.
