Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues orchestra

Anyone a fan?
His tv show is I think the best music show in history. He and his orchestra are amazing and no matter what genre of music you like, anything and anyone he plays with produce brilliant lively passionate music.
The show itself shows off so many different genres and artists, the shows production and directing is top class and the format is brilliant, getting so many different people to do covers is genius as well.

You wont find any trash, fucking awful artists from wanker infested xfactor or boring whiney rock on his show.

Re: Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues orchestra

The show is great and Jools is lovable but I wouldnt say you wont find any shit on there, pretty much anyone with an album to promote gets on there these days, and there was a time when Jools would insist on joining every guest and throwing in a boogie-woogie piano solo no matter how inappropriate.

Still cool though, one of my fave clips

Re: Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues orchestra

It's fair to say that watching Jools Holland that day as a 13 year old was a major influence on my musical taste to this day, and probably for the majority of my life. I was into punk and had started getting into hardcore through bands like Black Flag, Minor Threat, Descendents etc but this performance blew my mind.

Between Jools Holland & John Peel, I was fortunate enough to be exposed to some incredible music from a young age. Even if 99 out of 100 bands on the show weren't for me, there'd always be that one I'd fall in love with.
