Listening to bands like Warning, Evoken, disEMBOWELMENT, Esoteric et al just leave me lifeless if I sit down and listen to them on headphones. Utterly entrancing though. Pat Walker sounds like he's just about to jack it all in.

Also, there's a folk/doom metal band called Uaral that writes sorrowful songs.

Such a brilliant song to close out Californication Season 4 and in the context of Hank's relationship with his family it was a truly heartbreaking song.
