MJ is the King of Pop.No artist In history has had an impact on popular culture As he had. From Africa to america The Guy was A phenomenon.Loved by every class,Colour,Creed He broke down barriers And made records.
Today I came across This Video Of MJ in his Pomp. This Video made me realize how much He meant to People.Only in MJ's Concert you get fainting men,Screaming Women And passed Out People.
I've never understood why people liked MJ,Can't say I ever liked him myself.
They like how he emotes vocally, his dancing, the big productions with his videos and concerts, and the messages in some of his big songs. MJ is fun, creative, has one of a kind stage presence in his live performances. He had so many elements added to his performance and as an artist that a lot of people fell in love with and still are today.
If you've seen the creative music videos he's been involved with you can probably get an idea why people like him so much even if it isn't particularly your thing.
Plus, a lot of MJ's long time fans literally grew up with him from his early beginnings in with the Jackson 5/The Jacksons to when he first started producing music with Quincy Jones in the late 70s. There's a lot of history and memorable moments over those years.
Michael's creative direction is one that is only rivaled by very few performers. That aspect of his career has arguably molded him into the legend that he is regarded as today. It also doesn't hurt that he influenced a generation of artists like Beyonce and Lady Gaga.
What is overrated about him is his discography. I believe Off The Wall is his best album, followed by Bad. Thriller is one of the most overrated albums of all time. The discography of his fellow contemporaries such as Madonna and Prince are better and more consistent, in my opinion.
