BASS. Notice at the 0:12 mark you don't really hear that low bass, but with a pair of Beats or something similar you'll hear a bassline you would have missed otherwise.

The panning makes this track.

Radiohead sounds awesome with headphones, couldn't pinpoint exact tracks as I like listening to it from beginning to end. It's like it's telling a story, I guess everyone interprets music differently, which is the beauty of it really. Especially the Ok Computer and In Rainbows Cd's. It is very experimental so when you listen on headphones you hear a lot of quirky sound effects that you might normally miss. It's not really the type of music that you have as background music when you're chatting with your mates, rather in a dark room with no disturbances and a clear mind with massive FUCK OFF headphones for the full immersive experience.

I was also gonna suggest Porcupine Tree and VAST but someone already has so

Sound effects on Metallica's One. during the "landmines" part you can hear James' voice echo. really adds to that part imo. also during Creeping Death's last verse you can hear a demonic voice repeating what James' saying.

Yep. Radiohead's layers in songs reminds me a lot of Pink Floyd. There are things you'd never even notice without headphones on those songs.

Vast is criminally overlooked. Up there with NIN and Tool for my favorite music.

The background vocals on the chorus would never be heard on regular speakers.

I must give thanks to all of you who have made these excellent contributions, particularly to The Great Below for making a noticeably good effort. +reps all round (BULLY, I'll have to get you another time).
