Essentially pop music, Hip hop and RnB. I know they're popular genres but I can't stand them.

Music I like that everyone hates is more difficult because I generally listen to Alternative Rock or just Alternative stuff which actually has popular artists but I would say the fact I enjoy metal, prog rock/metal and the occasional screams may come closer to answering the question.

I absolutely adore house music, and people often start hating without actually knowing what I mean. The shit people think of when you say "house", i.e. David Guetta and all that nonsense, that isn't what I'm talking about. That's just pop music, nothing more. I'm talking about the progressive, melodic and deep stuff, with amazing production, great musical content, I just fucking love it!

But yeah, the majority of people I come across have never heard of this stuff, or they just don't have a fucking clue about electronic music at all. They just call it all dubstep or techno, without even knowing what those are either. Time to get your shit together people!

Oh and before someone jumps on me for having a deadmau5 avatar, he's the one guy who has found a perfect balance between making music which appeals to the masses, but still clever enough to keep the heads interested. Respect

As for hate, I don't HATE anything (why hate on something when you can enjoy the stuff you do like?), although I find prog rock a bit silly. And I'm not really keen on Trance, it has the same musicality and production skill as the more house-y stuff I like, but the slightly faster tempo just kills any sort of groove or feeling. Not for me I'm afraid!

techno in generally i don't like. And dubstep is also pure torture for me (unless i'm loaded). Can't say everyone likes this type of music, but there popular within certain settings. Also The Rolling Stones have simply never done it for me. No matter how often i try to get into their music, i never manage.

Music i like that everybody hates is hard to say. Well i do enjoy listening to some Bon Jovi, who have a large fan base but are generally hated by critics and most rock/metal fans. Also i loved Chinese Democracy by Guns N' Roses who most have mixed views about. Other than that can't think of much.

Can't stand Elvis. I don't think that he deserves all the praise that he gets for stealing other people's work. He's a fraud IMO.

Chris Brown has some catchy music but his last album wasn't that great and he makes too many stupid decisions in real life.
