And Tupac didn't? Biggie's lyrical content was one dimensional. He was the one who made the typical rap about money, women, and drugs more profitable for the mainstream. That so called "emotional music" got him 2 diamond albums.

Thank you Edge.

I dare someone to say that Recovery/Relapse/Encore were above average and then defend their statement. Don't bring up BmE because Royce was renegading Em throughout the entire album
exactly. i thought eminem was good before he fell off a cliff. don't get me wrong he still wasn't goat and he's only made it this far b/c the majority of the voters are white. still the last decade of his career has been a huge joke. i can't see anyone supporting his music these days besides white people clinging to his trash and drug addicts.

if BIG's greatest hits album was released at the same time as 2pac's then it would have gone diamond before his. it probably won't now b/c the world has changed. Greatest Hits albums don't count anyway. they both have one REAL diamond album. either way as i said, he captured the streets. he wasn't one dimensional either. he had plenty of versatility in his discog, but he managed to capture the streets and the mainstream too. he was GOAT for a reason. he was a bigger mainstream artist when they were both alive. 2pac's appeal grew only b/c he was overrated after he died. BIG is the GOAT. Nas is probably a close second. 2pac is top 10 at best.

Wow how did that jabroni Immortal Technique make it in this tournament? He made it in over:
Cam'Ron
Kool G Rap
Big Daddy Kane
AZ
Big Boi

etc

and looking at some of these nominations:
Kid Cudi
Xzibit
Dr Dre (made it in somehow)

People voted him.

Gotta be unbiased so I counted their votes.

No it wouldn't have because Tupac's Greatest Hits was a double album.

Oh really? I can think of maybe 2 songs that aren't about his typical material.

but he managed to capture the streets and the mainstream too.
The streets? What good will that do? Most of the people buying the albums aren't from the streets.

So we're dictating who's better by who had more mainstream appeal? That's a poor measurement for greatness.

Same for Biggie who only had 2 albums (technically 3) with mostly one dimensional lyrics.

Biggie would be a top 10 at best. Most people would put Tupac and Nas in the top 5 easily.

Thank you Edge.

.
Explain how TM103 sold 233k week one and went gold
Explain how Crime Pays was #3 on the billboard 200 with no hit singles, famous guest features or anything
