Re: WF GOAT Rapper Tournament Round 3
(1) 2Pac vs. (8) Jay-Z
(4) Notorious B.I.G. vs (5) Rakim
(2) Nas vs. (10) Mos Def
(3) Eminem vs. (6) Ice Cube
It hurts me soul to have to vote against Black Dante, but tbh none of these were tough choices for me.

Talent/charisma draws. Not size.

Re: WF GOAT Rapper Tournament Round 3
Wow, poor DMX. He is certainly worth a "11-9" or "12-8" type of loss to 2 Pac, not "15-0".
Anyways:
(1) 2Pac vs. (8) Jay-Z
[4) Notorious B.I.G. vs (5) Rakim
(2) Nas vs. (10) Mos Def
(3) Eminem vs. (6) Ice Cube

Sadly, I think Em's winning.
Can't help but think Em's recent shit ever since The Eminem Show hasn't been anything to rave about.

Cube was winning for a couple of days but I think Eminem pulled a lead in the last 24 hours. Like a poster earlier mentioned, it's a good surprise to see Cube get recognition in this tournament because he deserves it.

Re: WF GOAT Rapper Tournament Round 3
Last night when I last counted the votes (shutupchico's post was the last one), Cube was leading 13-8, now not even 24 hours later, Eminem has taken the lead 16-13.

It is a good surprise......which speaks volumes about the knowledge of most of the voters.
Guarantee that most of those voting for Eminem don't know much about Ice Cube's musical prime.

Re: WF GOAT Rapper Tournament Round 3
But Ice Cube's musical prime was nowhere near as long Em's, b. Not a fan of Shady, but dude put out three classics in a row. Amerikkka's Most Wanted and Death Certificate are classics, but after that, dude fell off. Then once Common bodied him in 96, he fell even farther.

Re: WF GOAT Rapper Tournament Round 3
The Predator is a classic, too, and if you include Straight Outta Compton then he has a lot of quality records. Cube in his prime and Em in his prime aren't too far off in terms of quality, IMO. Still voted for Cube though.
