Jam Master Jay, DJ Yella and Kool Herc did a lot for hip hop, so they should be on a best rapper list, too? More deserving is fair, a lot of guys on the list aren't my top picks, but you can't throw DJs and producers into it like that. Dre would get a lot more votes in that case.

Underground rappers may be 'better' than some mainstream guys, but if most people don't know them, they won't get voted into something like this. pageninetynine are one of my favourite bands, but they wouldn't get voted into a top rock list, even if they deserved it, because they simply didn't have that mainstream impact. It's the same when you're comparing Celph to Andre 3000, who is excellent but has the advantage of being a massive name who was on many acclaimed albums.

Just how it goes with these things, no need to get mad at it or try and show you're a more knowledgeable head.

I never once said"i know more than anyone".I may have made a mistake adding his name in but I was throwing out any name off the top of my head and Eric B and Rakim came to mind so I threw his name in. Fair but the rest of my points stand strong that no ones actually been able to argue otherwise.

But Like I said, it all depends on criteria thats why I threw names out the way I did. In terms of raw talent I named underground guys who have huge followings but why should being popular make you better? Thats also a point I made , record sales don't mean shit so I'm glad Lil Wayne wasn't added . I also put in old school names too that were left out. I just threw naems more deserving but I never once said they were the greatest of all time. More deserving is different from they should.

More deserving and even talent are subjective, but realistically, its a public poll on a wrestling forum, a lot of the names are going to be the most popular or even the only guys people have listened to. It's just one of those things.

I don't know you personally, I don't know if you are elitist or if this has really annoyed you, but unfortunately some of the posts have come off that way.

I'm not saying I necessarily disagree with you, but some of your points would have got people needlessly defensive with the way they were made. It's a perfectly valid opinion to prefer Kanye to Celph, too. Hell, some people even like Creed and Nickelback. Best ever anything is always subjective.

Fair point but when it comes to rapping I don't think talent is subjective. Enjoying someones music because you think its better thats fine, but to me when talent is there its there. To me, the list is completely absurd oh well

Yeah, OK Mr. Expert. Explain to me how Eric B. is more deserving when he does not rap. Not knowing this throws all your alleged expertise out the window.

Dre did actually rap and I prefer him to Pac, so fuckin what. You on the other hand don't know your ass from your elbow but seem to think your some kinda fuckin guru.

^^Read above. I acknowledged I made a mistake. And Dre did rap but never once wrote his own lyrics. Snoop mainly wrote Chornic while 2001 was mainly written by Eminem . There were more guys around but Dr.Dre had ghost writers

Yes I did shit on this thread because most of those names are absurd to be on the list. I made 1 mistake but the rest no one can argue against. Some tried but missed the point entirely because people like you wanted me to say"oh you're all wrong stupid and dont know shit I'm better than all of you and I'm smarter" but I hate to break it to ya, I never did.
