I'm not here to argue about genres but everything from Decemberists to Cafe Tacuba is considered "indie". Knowing this, it's hard to vote..

I could go on all day. Folk is without a shadow of a doubt my favorite musical genre of all time. I am of the belief that music should be something that tells a story, something that gets you emotionally invested as opposed to over-produced autotuned hit-of-the-week music that is just produced to sound good. I'll take a bootlegged Jackson Browne concert recorded with a potato over most stuff that is produced these days.
