I never said Kanye was better than Rakim and yes I would put Kanye in my top 32.

But hey I'm not gonna try it with a guy that thinks the 2 Live Crew, Sticky Fingaz and Eazy-E are good rappers but thinks Kanye is one of the worst ever

I bet if Kanye was popular in the 90's you would be a fan of him.
I wouldn't put Kanye in my top 32 or anything, but he doesn't suck. I agree with more of Notrious in this debate, with one major exception.....Sticky Fingaz was ill.

Check it, his verse starts at 2:45 mark

at Dre being better than Kanye. It is a shame for you to be that biased against Kanye, like really. You don't have to be a fan of him that's understandable, but the way you talk about Kanye is just a joke. You're literally the first person I've ever heard in my life say that Kanye is one of the worst rappers ever.

That's fine you don't think Kanye should be in a top 32 list, that's understandable. I'm pretty sure there's some guys on your top 32 list that I don't feel should be there. Top whatever lists are always controversial, there's really no need to make a big deal over that.

That was a good verse from Sticky Fingaz that you posted LB

Also I know this was a couple posts ago but I'll still address it. I don't consider myself a Drake fan, I like his music but I would never buy one of his albums or pay to go to one of his concerts. Maybe your definition of fan is different but that's pretty much mine, someone that buys the artist's albums or goes to their concerts. I do neither, I defend Drake so much because well...someone has to. He gets way too much unnecessary shit for no reason just because he's one of the biggest mainstream rappers out right now and he isn't from the hood and was pretty much raised rich.

They're (YMCMB) all talentless douchebags.
Fiasco? Nobody's moving toward that boy sadly, don't think he sold even 90k week one. And this is the same guy who put out Lasers, fucking Lasers. Then when it got bad feedback "WAHHH WAHHH THE LABEL MADE ME DO IT WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

And Frank Ocean isn't a rapper, why do you keep bringing him up?

Okay, see, here's the thing with Kanye. I give him his props when he deserves it. As a producer? He's ILL and probably the best to enter the game since the classics from the late 80s/early 90s and he's probably worthy of a top 10 spot at this point. As a rapper? It's a whole different story. His lyrics are horrible, his voice is PAINFUL (the reason I barely listen to him) and his overuse of profanity is almost as forced and cringeworthy as Drake. Therefore, I find no use in him rapping to a microphone. Now does he make good music? I'm pretty sure his albums (except 808) have some great songs that many including myself enjoy, but that's for every reason OTHER than Kanye's rapping. (for me anyways)

For the Dre comparisons... Dre is not really ratable lyrically as he doesn't write them but when it comes to delivering? He's awesome! He rides a beat flawlessly and has one of the best voices I've heard. That alone puts him above Kanye (who's only redeeming feature is his production) for me. Comprendé?

Kanye isn't a top 10 producer anymore, he's used Co-Producers for awhile which is shit. I can't remember the last time he actually produced a song by himself. And his lyrics are horrible? You haven't lived in the struggle, in chicago, in the hood, racial issues, etc because that's what Kanye during his prime was about. Does he go just for shock value sometimes? Yeah, but who doesn't? Eminem is the king of that

Kanye just started cursing a lot like in 2010 with MBDTF, his music wasn't like that for the first 5 years or so of his rap career aka his music hasn't been like that for the majority of his career, he's literally made one album like that.

You not liking Kanye's voice is understandable but his lyrics are far from wack.

As for Dre, I have no problem with him and I enjoy some of his music for the same reasons you listed I just don't agree with your views on Kanye, which I feel are just an exaggeration and biased hate. Opinions are opinions and everyone's got em so whatever.

MBDTF I didn't enjoy. It felt way too overproduced, like he was trying to prove something. 5000 hours writing Power? Lol

I enjoyed MBDTF, I'd say the only Kanye album I don't like is 808's & Heartbreak.

Am also not a fan of the G.O.O.D. Music album.

I like 808 but you won't catch me blasting that in the whip or anything. More of just to play to zone out and chill too

And yeah I haven't played Cruel Summer since like 3 days after it came out

I'd say the only tracks I liked on 808's were Welcome to Heartbreak, Paranoid and Amazing.

I also love Love Lockdown only when I'm playing it in my car. I can't really explain it but I just love the way it sounds when it's played in the car.
