Agreed. He gets hate from both sides of the spectrum. Either his music is soft or he gets laughed at for talking tough. At the end of the day, I don't care as long as I'm entertained (although Take Care is eh)
Hip Hop is based from freestyles, is it not? Drake claims to be all tough and everything but he started on Degrassi ffs. Bieber had some "rap" thing on Hot 97, Ludacris wrote it for him and he memorized it. The same deal when DJ Premier had a bunch of rappers come up on stage to freestyle, Bieber asked to come up but he wanted Ludacris up there with him or he wanted pre written lyrics, one or the other.
They are just a bunch of corporate talentless douchebags.
Kanye has never been a top elite rapper, he is in the Dr. Dre class of producing and rapping. Drake, Lil Wayne etc. All claim to be top Hip Hop talent but they can't rap for shit and they're just bubblegum pop music.
Drake, Lil Wayne and all them can sell how may records they want, and they can claim to be awesome but didn't Vanilla Ice sell like 20 million copies of his album? Adam Sandler has been making crap movies for a long time now, but they still manage to make a ton of cash, does that still make them good movies? No, it doesn't at all.

Gotta take issue with the Kanye/Dre thing. Kanye has mostly written his lyrics, and while he may have started out in the Dr. Dre mold of being a producer who clumsily raps a bit, he's gotten a lot better over the years to where he's a pretty good rapper.
There's a couple lines where Drake has alluded to being about that life but for the most part his music isn't about that. His music is pretty much about girls and the lifestyle he lives.
So because Drake got into an altercation with Chris Brown and threatened a tattoo artist, he gets a reputation as a fake tough guy?
Come on man, be rational for a second.
There's rappers who have done much worse things that aren't really about that life but you choose to pick on Drake because he's an easy target. Drake rarely ever talks about fighting guys or other shit like that in his songs. Like I said before, the majority of his songs are about women and his lifestyle.

I've never liked T-Pain, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Drake, Chris Brown etc.
Kanye is average at best. The first two albums he had were good but the fame started to go to his head and he started acting obnoxious.

All this Drake, Lil Wayne stuff will be looked back in 10 years time as a phase, very similar to the Nu Metal movement at the time which ended up being a flash in the pan, difference is..at least Nu Metal actually had some talented bands but it faded out quickly.

Random illuminati namedrop
Corny
Forced
Eminem wannabe
Namedrops someone (Game, Tyler the Creator, "Novi Novak" or whoever the fuck) to get attention
Whines about not being famous
Don't get me wrong, stuff like Ill Mind of Hopsin 5 is great but that's few and far in between
