Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

Just listened to Poetic Justice, Drake fucking killed it, I've been really enjoying some of Drake's features recently. I really liked his verse on US for Ross' the Black Bar Mitzvah.

Gonna listen to the rest of Kendrick's new joint tho

Edit: New Sosa though!

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

Drake is so terrible, as well as 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

Nas album rankings

Illmatic
IWW
Stillmatic
Lost Tapes
Life is Good
God's Son
Hip Hop is Dead
I Am..
Street's Disciple
Nastradamus
Untitled

Untitled I liked maybe 4 songs out of the 17, what a disappointment
And I'm one of the few people who rate HHID higher than a 5 (I give it a 7). Still Dreaming is one of my favorite Nas tracks ever, and Black Republican even though it was a disappointment is still a great track

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

The track "Blunt Ashes" from Hip Hop is Dead is underrated.

As for Untitled, there was a couple nice tracks on there. N.I.G.G.E.R. (The Slave & the Master), Testify, Hero to name a few. But for the most part a mediocre album.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

Untitled that high? Interesting, only tracks I liked from Untitled

Queens Get the Money
Breathe (I think)
Hero
Sly Fox

Haven't listened since like a week after release and don't plan to, it was that disappointing.

I've always liked the album a lot. In addition to the ones you named(though not a big fan of Hero), I loved Testify, Y'all My .....s, N.I.G.G.E.R.(Slave and the Master), Fried Chicken, Black President, Can't Stop Us Now.

I played the hell out of that album, loved the content and feel of the album.

Only song I really didn't like was We're Not Alone.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

Oh yeah I liked Can't Stop Us Now, Fried Chicken though? Fuck that, I can't enjoy anything that's from Busta after Big Bang. Back on my B.S and his free album were pathetic.
