Duets was awful. Diddy should have known better. It's not like he needed the money.

Street Fame is a great track also.

Str8 Ballin' is my favorite Pac song. Damn that beat/song!

The earlier posthumous stuff that came out shortly after his death, they mostly didn't mess with and just put it out the way Pac recorded it.
So they would take a verse from hail Mary and put it on a new beat? (Is that what you mean by acapellas from recorded songs?)

They recycled lines from his already released posthumous songs and put them in other later songs.

Here's a good example:

His first verse from Untouchable at 0:38

Killuminati at 1:14

Pour Out a Little Liqour and How Long Will They Mourn Me?(Warren G on the beat and Nate on the hook both killed it) are my favorites off that.

Agree that it's a bit underrated, it's a good album. Maybe my favorite Pac album as far as the beats go. Only problem is Pac's Thug Life crew were mostly weak on the mic.

Nah, they'd take the verses off of unreleased songs and put them over new beats.

They were weak but they were still better than Big Syke from the Outlawz.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

I still wonder to this day if 2pac and Biggie would have ended up making amends?

2pac just seemed too intense and focused to give it up though, so I don't know...

LOL @ Duets. That was one of the most laughable albums ever. Isn't there actually a song where the only contribution from Biggie is him consistently saying "UH" throughout the song? Hahahahahahahahahah.
