Much respect to Scarface for keeping it one hundred. He's got balls and he's right. I got red-repped for saying stuff like this, lets see if I get it for sharing the news. LOL.

http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/i...=Google+Reader

Scarface also says there is "a conspiracy against the Blacks in Hip Hop" and explains how record label executives have "brainwashed a generation" of fans.

Scarface recently vented about his frustrations with record label executives and Hip Hop. In an interview with Hardknock TV, Face shared his displeasure by speaking on how he feels race and racism affect the music that is released by record companies.

"I feel like we losing it," Face said in the clip. "I feel like the people that are in control of what Hip Hop does is so fu-king White and so fu-king Jewish and so they don't give a fu-k about what the culture and the craft really is about."

Scarface paused at this point and said he wanted to clarify.

"Let me say this sh-t right because I want this to be as offensive as I can fu-kin' make it for these old-ass punks that's running these record labels that's in the powerful positions to dictate what the Black community hears and listens to. I fu-king hate that sh-t. That sh-t pisses me off," he added.

"There's no fu-king way that you can tell me that it's not a conspiracy against the Blacks in Hip Hop. You put out fu-king records that make us look stupid. You make us look dumb. You brainwash a generation of Hip Hoppers with this fu-king crud and then when these other rappers come out, splitting it down the middle, these other rappers' sh-t sound like 'Wow!' Y'all look great!' 'Y'all look stupid!' ... Then mothafu-kers start going over here and pretty soon, Hip Hop is White now."

That's pretty ignorant of Face to use "white" as a derogatory term. Hip-hop isn't just for black people. You can't sit there and claim your race is getting the short end of the stick and then discriminate against another race because you think hip-hop belongs to black people.

Music of every genre, style, subject matter, sound, etc. is more easily accessible than ever before. You can't demonize the record companies when it's ultimately the listener's choice as to what they want to listen to. SO many artists today are getting buzz off the internet now that the record companies are going to be forced to change their model up within the next decade if they want viable rappers to sign with them because as it looks right now the independent scene is blowing up and looking more and more like the better option for rappers to take nowadays. I really shouldn't have to name the list of guys who have achieved success thanks to the internet.

He needs to stop trying to make this a race thing again. It's not the early 90s anymore. Your race isn't being oppressed anymore.

While you're busy trying to be offended, it appears you missed his point. FOH with that "your race isn't being oppressed anymore" BS.

Hip hop was created by blacks, and it's being pimped and whitewashed right before our eyes.

Don't know why you're offended in the first place. He's not talking about fans, he's talking about the powers that be pushing the worst type of coon shit to the mainstream, and calling out those who do it. Asking artists to care about their art isn't ignorant. You saw a few words that made you uncomfortable, and went off the rails it seems.

No, he's calling the industry "white" as if white people don't deserve to have a place in hip-hop.

Well what the fuck does he want? Afrika Bambaataa and Kool Herc to make a return? Run DMC and the Beastie Boys to take over the airwaves again? The return of g-funk and gangster rap? Just because whatever area of hip-hop HE'S singling out doesn't fit HIS vision doesn't mean there's a problem. There's always been shit, ignorant rap songs on the radio. This isn't anything new. You take the good with the bad. I'm not sure why all of a sudden this is a problem. Did it just start last year?
