Ehh...

I'm a big Bone Thugs fan, more specifically Bizzy so I might be biased. Notorious Thugz and Sky's the Limit were my two favorites from LAD though. Kick in the Door would be third for me.

Got into a big argument at the barber shop the other day with some Lil Wayne stans. The issue was because I said that Lil Wayne doesn't have any classic albums, to which they of course disputed.

So I ask, am I wrong? Wayne doesn't have any classic albums IMO. Carter II is his only good album but I wouldn't call it a classic. Carter III is overrated and is an average ass album to me. Carter One is meh, Carter IV is meh, his first two albums aren't that noteworthy. lolrebirth. I don't think Wayne has any classic albums. When I think of classic, I think of something that will be listened to for years. I just don't see people talking about Carter III 10-15 years after it's release like they talk about Illmatic or MATW or Life After Death, etc., etc.

If Wayne has anything classic, I'd say Da Drought 3 is a classic mixtape or will be. But that's it.

But you do agree that Carter III is overrated?

Yes, not close to a classic or anything but it still had some dope cuts. You Ain't Got Nuthin' is one of my favorite Wayne songs (even though he got killed on it lol)

10-15 years now, most people will cringe at the fact that they hyped up Lil Wayne so much. None of his albums will be considered classics.

Yeah it has a couple nice tracks but it's overrated as hell, especially by his delusional fans. But that's to be expected.

Let the Beat Build might be his best song.

I think it'll be the opposite. His die-hard fans (Which he has a lot of), will continue to listen to him and after he's either retired or god forbid, dead due to his heavy drug use, they'll preach about how Wayne was a legend and there's no one like him.

Let The Beat Build is another example of why Kanye is 100x the better producer than rapper. He has way more classic beats/classic songs that he's produced than his own songs imo.

"I Love the Dough" and "The World is Filled" are both criminally underrated LAD cuts.

Life After Death suffered the same fate as All Eyez on Me, too many tracks. Inconsistency and a lack of flow to the album because of it. If you cut them down to a single disc, they're both easily classics.
