BTW, that Phuk You beat sounded perfect for Em. Bis would have gotten bodied on that
Nah, Em definitely wouldn't have been able to knock off Pharoahe Monch, Black Thought or Common in their primes. Hell, I even think his "destruction" of Jay-Z is overstated. Although I do give the nod to Em, taking all verses into account, I think Jay's second verse was the nicest in the whole track.

Talent/charisma draws. Not size.

This G-Unit- T.O.S. has some bangers...

That last track, I don't know what it is with Banks verse but that's probably my favorite Banks verse right now. I have that track on replay just for his verse, it might not even be his best verse on the album (I'd give that to Straight Outta Southside or T.O.S.), so I don't know why I like it so much. I was also shocked as fuck listening to the album, 16 tracks and I only had to replace 2 with the No-Yayo edition tracks (yes, someone actually made it. Complete with Yayo being photoshopped out of the cover ). Album isn't great or anything (7/10, tracks 6, 9, and 13 are recycle bin), but it has some hard tracks and it didn't deserve the negative reviews I got.

We're talking Monch/Thought/Common in 99-03 (Em's prime) though, not their own prime.

And I agree, Jay isn't the worst Em got someone on a feature. He more than held his own. A sleeper pick for Em killing someone on their own shit is when he was out of his prime in 2004, he killed Game so bad on We Ain't that he admitted it on his own track (and did it again with Tyler on Martians vs Goblins)

Monch and Common were still in their primes in the first part of that though, definitely 99-00.

Thought has never left his prime since like 1996, IMO. He's just been consistently nice.

Common-Em would be interesting. I mean, Common destroyed Blackstar on Respiration so I'm not doubting he could outrap Em. I also forgot someone outrapping him, Sticky Fingaz on Remember Me. Clearly bodied him there.

I never understood the hype around Doom. It seems like he raps about nothing and a lot of times his flow can be erratic. However, he has some songs that I enjoy:
