I thought it was pretty obvious Take Care & .....s in Paris would win. With these mainstream award shows you can pretty much tell who's gonna win just based off the nominations.
The only way Take Care wasn't gonna win best rap album is probably if Kendrick was nominated and .....s in Paris was a dope song that had a lot of hype, much more than Daughters.
Hip Hop and the Grammy's relationships is based on popularity, it was never about quality
the fact that albums like Recovery and Relapse actually won it shows you that the people deciding it probably didn't listen to the album so much as they listened to the fangirls and groupies , it was Eminem's return album after 5 years, of course it's gonna win an award even if it was a mixed sample of Eminem groaning while taking a shit
to me the Source awards are the only legit department when it comes to hip hop awards, the rest constantly rides on Jay and Eminem's dicks, along with Drake and the rest of his crew

They NEVER had credibility though. If you go back to the beginning when they started giving out rap awards(and not televising it), and look at what won and then think about what didn't win or didn't even get nominated......they've never had a clue.
One question I always had on my mind. Is it called the Grammys because that's how much coke each attending member is required to bring for the after-party?
