Underrated as it gets. Both as an individual song and as a posse cut. King Tee laid the blueprint for Biggie's style (according to Ice-T, B.I.G.'s fav MC was King Tee) and there's also Xzibit's first verse if I'm not mistaken.

Dammit, west coast rap from the 90s and late 80s is such a pleasure to listen to. Takes me to another place and has something special no other style has.

I only got a handful of albums in physical form. Scarface's The Diary, a Geto Boys best of, Ice Cube's first two albums, N.W.A's Straight Outta Compton, Public Enemy's Fear of a Black Planet & their greatest hits (Power to the People) and GZA's Liquid Swords.

Going to expand on it in the near future with more classic albums being added.

Not sure how this is underrated, if you're old enough to remember when it came out this shit was HUGE.

Now that's an under rated track. Early Dilated Peoples is my favorite West Coast group. Liks are up there. Liks + ODB = One Helluva Party.

Wow, this post bugs me out. All I see is a red x, so I don't know what you just copped. But these last few posts blow my mind, though I guess it makes sense giving the downloading age we've been living in for awhile.

I'll list what I can think of actually still buying from recent times where you can pretty much find any album you want online.

Rap albums I've bought physical copies of from let's say 2004- now that I can remember buying:
Little Brother - GetBack
Little Brother - Minstrel Show
Little Brother - And Justus for All
Phonte - Charity Starts at Home
9th Wonder - The Wonder Years
J. Cole- Sideline Story
Big KRIT- Live From the Underground
Curren$y - Stoned Immaculate
Jay-z/Kanye - Watch the Throne
Kanye West - College Dropout
Nas - Life is Good
Nas- Untitled
Talib Kweli - Eardrum
Pharoahe Monch - Desire
J Dilla - Donuts
The Roots - Game Theory
The Roots - Rising Down
The Roots - How I Got Over
The Roots - Home Grown: Vol. 1
Lupe Fiasco - Food and Liquor
DJ Quik and Kurupt - Blaqout
Warren G - In The Midnight Hour
Common - BE

Probably forgetting a few but that's most of them. Early 2000's......that era is kind've a mixed bag.....didn't buy very many albums in those years both because there weren't many I wanted, and I was broke as fuck, and what little spending money I did have was not usually spent on music. Didn't download many albums either because that wasn't as prevelant then, but downloaded a TON of songs in the napster/kazaa era.

1990's and before.......had to buy it(or dub it or "borrow it"). So this list of albums I have from then would be a lot longer than the one above.

I don't remember the Made You Look remix being huge. I mean, it definitely got quite a bit of burn.....but not nearly as much as the original which was huge.

A few more incredible posses cuts that don't get mentioned as much as they should anymore....

It got major play down here even, in Florida, so I figured it was probably well played throughout the country. I dunno I guess you can call it under rated but to me it's one of the top remixes.

This was fucking huge back then too:

Ha, I guess maybe it was big if Florida actually played it. I spent a week in Florida in like 04, and heard ZERO east coast songs anywhere I went out. Actually, check that.....I heard Naughty By Nature's Hip Hop Hooray just as a throwback special. And I remember this because it was like being in an alternate universe from what I was used to. But nothing else that was from NY and was big in 04....no Jay, no Fabolous, no 50, no Jada, no Cam'ron, no neptunes beats, no "chipmunk soul beats", no Just Blaze beats, etc.

It was ALL that crunk Lil Jon, south shit that was big then.....must've heard Youngbloodz "Damn!" everywhere I went. Heard a few west coast throwbacks....Dre and Snoop, Pac, etc., but NO east coast throwbacks save for that one Naughty by Nature song.

It was a different world. Because in NY, that crunk shit was actually getting some play. Everything that was popular in hip hop was getting play in NY by 2004(not like the 90's where most south shit got NO burn in NY).
