Ethically, he should have talked to a legend like Finesse before making that. Legally, him sampling that song had nothing to do with Finesse because that song doesn't even belong to him. He himself sampled that shit when he made the original track.

Whole situation is just kinda silly to me.

Saw that interview last night. I've given 1 Train a few listens and Rocky's right, you can't really put anyone above another on that track because everyone was just so different and unique in their own way you can't really compare them. KRIT definitely ripped that shit though. I still have given LFTU a full listen and the album's sitting on my damn shelf. I've been slacking with KRIT. Such quality music from an astoundingly talented artist. So overlooked.

I hate to say this... But get ready for disappointment. A lot of it.

Talent/charisma draws. Not size.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread
It wasn't that it wasn't good. He just set the standard so high with his tapes that he really needed to bring it for the album. I was worried about the same thing happening with Rocky.
KRIT is still one of the most consistent artists in the game though. His features never disappoint and his production is on another level.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread
Eh, it wasn't bad. But compared to the perfection of Return of 4Eva? Not even a contest.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread
I hate Adam Levine with a passion. Anyone that does a song with him is getting taken off the ipod. I don't give a fuck how many classics they could have had before hand.
The only exception is Kanye. He did that shit when it wasn't even cool.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread
Great projections for Rocky. Happy to see it. Now I'm interested to see the 2nd week drop off.
And Return Of 4Eva is WORK. It's the reason I became a fan of KRIT.

:kiss
I can only name like 3 Adam Levine songs where he's featured, it's not like he's Akon or something. If 50 wants to use him and Shady to get a hit, more power to him.

People care about OutKast not Dre.
Sorry but jumping on artists like Wayne, Drake, Ross, and Ocean's track doesn't make you relevant.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread
These young kids, man.
Bad enough in the last thread they were all saying Nas was irrelevant. Andre 3000 is not irrelevant, Outkast is still relevant and Andre 3000 is still relevant. The only one who's irrelevant right now is Big Boi.
Why do you think those big artists like Wayne, Drake, Ross, Jeezy & Frank Ocean want Andre on their songs? If he's so irrelevant, why would the most relevant artists want him on their songs? I don't see them putting Big Boi on their songs. And I doubt Andre is calling them to be featured on the songs.
