Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

Power Circle was pretty meh outside of Kendrick to be quite honest.

Big Boi was originally on the original actually, but he was scrapped at the last minute for the album version because 3000 didn't want an Outkast reunion until they came out with their next album. I guess they finally decided to release it.

I think it's more like 3000 didn't want an Outkast reunion because he's done with Outkast, and ain't gonna be a next album.

That whole situation is just weird, it just feels like there's gotta be something there that we don't know.

I guess I wouldn't mind them being solo as much if Dre actually put out solo music. Like, an album. All he does is hop on a few remixes every year.

Nah, Gunplay, Wale, & Stalley had great verses and Meek did better than usual.

Me too. But it seems highly unlikely nowadays, tbh.

Yeah I kinda feel the same way. I think there's some tension behind the scenes between them that the public doesn't know.

Dre should really come out with a solo album, he's still big in the game so he would probably do some great numbers. And his album will be quality. Should just do it. Don't see what's stopping him.

OutKast is big in the game. Dre alone is still irrelevant.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

Just stop.

Dre is still very relevant in the rap game. Guy jumps on like 4 or 5 songs a year, typically with some of the biggest rap/R&B acts out currently like Wayne, Drake, Ross, Ocean, etc. and still manages to stay relevant. A solo album of his would sell at least as much as Life is Good did.
