Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

I can't name one Trinidad James song besides All Gold Everything

and Keef is good in stints. You won't catch me with Finally Rich on my Ipod, but I bump Kobe/Hate Being Sober/Love Sosa/etc sometimes for a period of time.

Hence, these new emo cats are killing themselves. That macho, bravado shit may have been way over the top at times, but was a valuable coping mechanism IMO.
Yeah. Watching music videos from today compared to 10 years ago is so drastically different. Still remember the retro jerseys, fitteds, 24" gold rims, giant chains, baggy clothes, air force 1s, etc. Takes you back.

Perfect example.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

Some dudes go overboard (Wayne) but rappers are generally pretty well dressed nowadays.

In comparison to the 90's anyways.

Pretty much. Kendrick, A$AP, J Cole, Big Sean, etc. all dress fairly well nowadays, but shit the retro jerseys and Air Forces were a great time. Probably because I grew up on it. lol

Complex's 50 Best Guest Verses of All Time

Don't exactly remember a lot of these verses so I'd have to give them another listen, but I'm okay with the top 5.

Young cats don't rock AF1's anymore? As far as I'm concerned, they're timeless. I still rock em.
