It's not like either of their careers would've gained something from this anyways..This was a loss the minute he participated

She's a more talented rapper than many of the rappers on both the '93 and 2012 lists....but that's not translating into good music for her. She needs a producer to take control of her music IMO. Like what Dre did for early Snoop and early Eminem. She needs someone to get her good beats, guide the direction of the songs/music, and to harness her weirdness/uniqueness which COULD be a strength(see Kendrick, old Busta Rhymes, etc.), but can also be a huge weakness when she basically goes off the deep end with it on some of those songs. She needs a quality control person to keep her music in check and tell her what's wack.
She'll be making that music forever now. She's got a mainstream target audience of white teenage girls that will generate more money off one pop album than a lifetime of albums in that direction. It's a shame because she's pretty great when she isn't catering to that audience and she produces verses like that Sweet Dreams verse. Money and fame matters though.

Eh, I give it one more album before that target group turns on her/gets sick of her. Like Cube said, "on MTV but they don't care, they'll have a new n____ next year". There's not a lot of staying power in that lane for her, IMO.

http://www.no-buzz.net/2012/12/29/petes-picks/

Pete Rock's top 5 albums of 2012, and his top 10 ever. I love how he said 2-10 are in no order, but his album is #1. I love that he went with Blue Funk too, that was a dope album that never gets talked about anymore or on these kinds of lists.

1.) Good Kid, m.A.A.d City- Kendrick Lamar
2.) Life Is Good- Nas
3.) Wu Block- Ghostface Killah/Sheek Louch
4.) The Kolexxxion- DJ Premier & Bumpy Knuckles
5.) Kaleidoscope Dream- Miguel

(2-10 in no particular order)
1.) Mecca & The Soul Brother- Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth
2.) The Chronic- Dr. Dre
3.) Illmatic- Nas
4.) Paid In Full- Eric B. & Rakim
5.) Criminal Minded- Boogie Down Productions
6.) It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back- Public Enemy
7.) Daily Operation- Gang Starr
8.) Blue Funk- Heavy D
9.)RUN DMC- RUN DMC
10.) People’s Instinctive Travels and The Paths of Rhythm – A Tribe
Called Quest

I still haven't listened to that Premo/Knuckles album

Speaking of Bumpy, didn't he do some songs with Cena?

Yep, and they were pretty good.

Cena is one of the better rappers from those who have used rapping as a secondary interest.

We need a GKMC short film (Kendrick said he will make one). I say he should star as himself with Nicki Minaj as Sherane.

Doesn't matter what he's saying. How he says it and that fake ass drug pushing tough guy image he's so hell bent on pushing just pisses me off. Anyone who pays attention to rap at all knows the truth about OFFICER RICKY and 50 clowned the living fuck out of him to the point where it's impossible to take him seriously. It's like if Nas wrote for Vanilla Ice. Lyrics might be dope, but it's still Vanilla Ice.

THIS SONG. First time I've heard this in years. Minus Yayo, song was ill. The beat and hook alone are addicting.
You claim he's fake. That's why you take his music for what it is. It's chill music.

Besides no one ever seems to take into consideration just because you're a CO doesn't mean you didn't sell drugs.
