Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

I preferred Rich Forever over Ross' other album too.

Rich Forever has a decent bit of filler tho where it seems like Ross is just fucking around on the track.

MMG The World is Ours
Last Breath
Keys to the Crib
Mine Games
Rich Forever
Stay Schemin' (I liked Ross on this but Drake's verse is better IMO)
Triple Beam Dreams (Nas' opening verse is epic)

^All songs that are LEGIT.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

GFID was a massive step down for Ross. Couple of really good tracks on there but loads of garbage like "Hold Me Back". Rich Forever tape was a hella lot better. Was that 2012 too? One of the strongest releases I've heard from 2012 if it was.

Toussaint Morrison Is Not My Boyfriend is the best release I've heard from 2012. Really fucking great tape. Nas' album was really good too. Listened to Lemar's album but it didn't grab my interest. I'll give it another go at some point though because I can't remember much about it. Curren$y's album was a let down too given how great his mixtapes from the last few years have been.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

You should probably listen to 1999 by Joey Bada$$.. Mixtape of the year if you ask me.

Mixtape of the year for me was 4Eva N A Day and by a large margin too.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

I just don't understand how anyone could enjoy Ross in any capacity whatsoever much less an entire mixtape/album. Blows my mind.

When you take him for what he is you'll enjoy him. (An above average lyricst with a mediocre flow who has music you can chill to). The people who don't enjoy Ross are usually the people who expect too much out of an artist, that serves there purpose as a wack rapper.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

GFID & Rich Forever is basically the same thing...Don't let Ross or anyone fool ya..RF was meant to be the album but due to anger from being pushed back he basically leaked it as a mixtape
