And now the top 20 bestselling albums for 1993(some of these were released in '92 but obviously kept selling in 93....which shows how albums used to have a lot more staying power....more singles were released and albums would be pushed for longer. Like Salt N Pepa, I think they were still putting out singles into early '95 of that album.
Such a different music world 20 years ago.
1. Dr. Dre - The Chronic

5. Arrested Development - 3 Years, 5 Months....
6. Onyx - Bacdafucup
7. Naughty By Nature - 19Naughty3
8. Ice Cube - The Predator
9. 2Pac - Strictly 4 My Niggaz
10. Wreckx-N-Effect - Hard or Smooth
11. Eazy E - It's On....
12. Ice Cube - Lethal Injection

Hmm 2Pac vs. Kanye West, who would you guys say is better?
2Pacalypse Now, Strictly For My N.I.G.G.A.Z, Me Against The World, All Eyez On Me, Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory vs.
College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
In terms of skill, they're about the same, although I'll give Pac the edge for his flow. For consistency, imo Kanye has never put out an album as good as Me Against the World, and Pac has never put out anything as bad as 808s.

while Pac's lyrics are brilliant, he's a legend for his personality and his philosophy on life
not saying that he was wack, Pac is Pac when it's all set and done, he was too dope, but honestly i'd put at least 5 rappers ahead of him
off topic :
Eiht, Spice1 = GOATs of gangsta rap (IMO)

Your half right. Spice 1 is one of the GOATs of Gangsta Rap but Ice Cube is THE GOAT of Gangsta Rap. Cube & Scarface is where any conversation on gangsta rap begins.
In terms of overall discography, longevity, and consistency, I'd absolutely go with Face. From like the mid 90's on, Face has been way better than Cube.
But at their absolute peaks? Cube's peak was higher and his best material is better than Face's. So it really depends on how you look at it, IMO.

IMO Cube is the GOAT rapper overall
but Cube's best hits was when he was rapping about racism and police violence , not gang sets and AKs
you could see my point when comparing Cube's first two albums (AMW and Death Certificate) where he was talking about black struggles to his fourth album (Lethal Injection) where he was more about being a gangbanger, which didn't fit him at all and the album didn't make it like the first two
no love for MC EIht ? dude had a sick flow :
