The only artists YMCMB promotes are Wayne, Drake & Nicki. Tyga created his own buzz.

The only artists Roc Nation promotes are Jay-Z, Rihanna & Rita Ora. J. Cole created his own buzz.

Both are similar as in they show obvious favoritism and don't promote the majority of their artists, only focusing on one or two.

But I think a major difference is Drake and Nicki's major success came when they signed to YMCMB..Rihanna was already on her way with Def Jam..I don't even think she's released an album through roc nation, correct?

True. But Drake didn't sign to YMCMB till late 2009, months after So Far Gone was released. While his first album hadn't dropped yet, Drake was getting a lot of hype and was expected at that time to be the next guy to go major.

So was J Cole & Jay Elec to a degree..YMCMB capitalized better on Drake while he was hot compared to Roc Nation imo..Though some of it you can say wasn't their fault(Jay Elec) eventhough ?uestlove I think said Elec's album has been done..

Not really. J. Cole signed to Roc Nation in 2009 but his hype really didn't take off until 2010 when Friday Night Lights dropped. That's when more people started recognizing him and his buzz started to grow and he developed a large following.

Remember when we were speculating when people would turn on Kendrick?

Read the comments.

Also, looks like Jesus Piece sold as projected.

http://thisizgame.ning.com/forum/top...ource=activity

I would have thought he'd be able to pull over 100k with all the publicity he's gotten within the last few months along with all the features and his Sunday Services. Game was more active in the headlines for JP than he was RED and RED sold 98k the first week.

So LongLiveA$AP is HEAT. One of the best albums I've heard all year... Then again, I guess it's technically a 2013 album since it's gonna officially drop in January. Shit's flames though, only issue is Skrillex ruining the track he's on, and A$AP Ferg's existence.

Talent/charisma draws. Not size.
