What, section 80?

Shit was album length, all original songs over original beats, and cost money......that's an album, not a mixtape where I come from.

Downloading A$AP's album now

Also I agree LB, this generation right now is heading a positive direction with guys like Kendrick, Cole, K.R.I.T., A$AP, Wale, etc. Even guys like Drake, Big Sean & Meek Mill have their moments where they shine. And then you also have your guys like Schoolboy, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Mac Miller and Joey Bada$$. I have high hopes for this next generation that's gonna carry hip-hop for at least the mid 2010's. Much better position than the mid to late 2000's.

Bruh you & me the only ones that think it's an album(Well i used to at least). Kendrick classified it as a mixtape, Pharell classified it as a mixtape..I think Itunes and a few hip-hop sites now classify it as a mixtape..

Main reason I bought it because everyone was calling it an album

I thought it was an album?

I always thought that GKMC was Kendrick's mainstream debut but section.80 was his overall debut.

Man, I don't care what these cats call it......if it's got all new songs over original beats? It's an album. If it's free, then it's just a free album. Charging for it? Album.

Rocking over a lot of instrumentals from previously released big songs? Mixtape.

The constant album comparisons to Illmatic are annoying, tbh.

@LBGetBack: You make a good point, Newer gen needs to create our own standards, and legends. Ex: Stop comparing him to Pac, and treat him like hes this generation's Pac.
