When I was younger I was an Eminem stan and thought he was one of the best ever. But after listening to more artists and expanding my knowledge of hip-hop, Em wouldn't crack my top 5.
Still a fan though, Marshall Mathers LP will remain one of my favorite albums ever. It was my first album actually so it'll always have a special place for me.

It wasn't a rant, that was part of the song.
And to some people he's the greatest, It's just an opinion. You can't measure who the GOAT is because there's so many different criteria for it, and are all just opinionated (Flow, Lyrical Ability, Origniality-all just opinion). You can only base it on facts (Sales, Critical Acclaim, etc)

It's from 2006-2007, back when he was doing drugs. He admitted himself that he was really drugged up & bitter/jealous when he made that song. He said so himself in 'Talkin 2 Myself'.
