Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

Jesus Piece is a 7.5/10, however if you do the following:
Replace Celebration with the Bone Thugs Remix
Get rid of "I Remember" and add Holy Water, Black Jesus, & Blood Diamonds
Add the full Fab verse (seriously, wtf? Sounds like he got cut off)

And then add some bonus tracks from Sunday Service it's pretty much the best album Game made. I got rid of "Church" & "Scared Now" too, wasn't really feeling those songs.. Also, he got a bit out of control with stealing rappers flows. I heard Kanye, Meek, Kendrick, and Cole in just one spin. Still, a great album. Here's my playlist if anyone wants to see it

gonna fuck around with the track list more later though

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

I was revisiting Wu-Tang Forever earlier today, and I started thinking... I actually like Method Man's verse on Triumph more than Inspectah Deck's. I mean, yeah, INS goes the fuck in, but his style is just really bland. Meth, on the other hand, is one of the most charismatic MCs of all time. I consider him one of the weaker MCs in Wu-Tang, but his mic presence is incredible. The only Wu member that can match his charisma is Ghostface.

Talent/charisma draws. Not size.

Lil Boosie to be released from prison in less than 60 days. Thank you Jesus, now that #FreeBoosie shit can finally end. But oh well since I'm here might as well post my favorite Boosie song, won't be hard to choose considering I only like 4 or 5 Boosie songs:

IMO Deck had the best verse on that....and really, he had the best verse on most of their biggest hits. And he owned that Wu-Tang Forever album. Deck consistently killed it back then, he was never bland to me.

I agree that Meth and Ghost are definitely the most charismatic members. When they were at their peak as a group (93-97) Deck though was my favorite rapper in the group and IMO he had the strongest showings on their first two albums....which are the two group albums that matter in their catalogue.

I can't take a guy who decides to call himself "Lil Boosie" seriously. Just a terrible name.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

I don't take him seriously either, would never download one of his mixtapes, let alone buy his album. But I do like that song, which is the only Boosie song on my iPod.

The guy is a GOD in Louisiana though, you just don't understand and I don't understand either to be quite honest. People down there love this guy, I've heard people from Louisiana call him this generation's 2Pac, that's how much they love this guy. I just don't get it though, never understood the hype down here in the Texas/Louisiana/Mississippi region.
