Good Kid M.A.A.D City imo is a classic track that is gonna be looked upon as a major hit within the years, not dickriding but that's the truth
Kendrick has a smart mentality and i'm glad that he differs that way from commercial rappers who produce nothing but garbage

I agree. Not only is he 25 so he has alot of time to put out even 10 albums before he retires but considering that he's told his whole life story in Good Kid, m.A.A.d City, and made a full socially conscious album in Section 80 he's going to really have to reinvent himself in his next solo project.

... Well, everyone is entitled their own opinion and everyone has their own taste, but WOW. lol. "Most overrated series in hip hop" just has to be wrong. A Loose Quarter is nice.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread
It isn't, I hear people calling MM2 the best mixtape ever when it isn't:
Trap or Die
Trap or Die 2
50 Cent is the Future
4Eva N A Day
O.Verly D.edicated
The Warm Up
Cold Corner 2 (bias here)
Are all better. Is MM2 a great mixtape? Of course, but what's after that? A good tape (I enjoy it more than MM2, way more actually) in MM4, and then 2 tapes nobody ever brings up in 1 and 3. In fact, outside of the internet I've never heard anyone mention Joe Budden unless it was "man you still listen to Joe Buddens?" or they heard Pump it Up somewhere. There's not a more overrated series in hip hop than the Mood Muzik series imo. And outside of "Words of a Chameleon" "Cut From a Different Cloth" "Through My Eyes" and "All In My Head", ALQ is bad. As soon as I heard he was STILL talking about Tahiry on that tape, I knew it was going to suck. What a lame

Friday Night Lights is the GOAT mixtape as far as I'm concerned.
Kush and Orange Juice, as well as How Fly are up there as well. Also K.R.I.T. Wuz Here and Da Drought 3.

... lol.
So, you're basing your "Joe Budden(S)" sucks argument on what people outside of the internet say. As if people on the internet aren't human. I might be one to say, that anybody who's only heard "Pump It Up" from Joe's catalog can't really formulate an opinion. And MM2, 3, and 4 ARE some of the best mixtapes ever created. A LOT of people think so, but just because you disagree doesn't mean it's not valid. But, as said before, everyone has their own opinion and taste.
As far as Tahiry goes, if you can't relate to a relationship with a female... That's on you.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread
Yes, I am. You need an impact outside of the internet to be considered a GOAT series. What impact did MM2 have? Absolutely none. Trap or Die, 50 Cent is the Future, 4Eva N A Day/K.R.I.T Wuz Here, O.Verly D.edicated and the Warm Up/Friday Night Lights all had an impact outside of the JBTV forums. There's a reason why albums like Illmatic, Ready to Die, MATW, etc are considered to be GOAT albums. They had a huge impact, reached a large audience, are still listened to today. Nobody is checking for Joe Budden outside of JBTV and a few hip hop forums, it's the sad truth. It's not just Budden, one of my favorite artists is Lloyd Banks. Nobody is checking for him either (although that's his own fault because he's extremely lazy).
Am I saying he's not dope? No, but MM2 better than any of the tapes I mentioned? Ehhhhhhhhhh.
