How would younger rap fans HEAR Nas if he doesn't have a hit single? They aren't checking for dude. If they checked Nas after his latest hits they got preachy Nas. No wonder they don't go out of their way to see what he's up to.

Really, when was he preachy? Untitled?? How is that preachy?
Shit, the only time he may have came off "preachy" was with I Can which was one of his biggest hits that kids loved(because he disguised the preachiness with his voice and the hook and beat)
Nas's last 2 albums have went gold (all the others before have went at least plat) and LIG will go gold soon, these sales can't all be from "real hip hop" fans, he has a mainstream audience. Even the YMCMB/MMG fans know him because he's been on the most recent albums of:
Tyga
Meek
Wayne
Ross
Nicki
I'm not saying Nas is very well known in the mainstream, but he's not some unknown.
