And I don't understand the whole "savior" of hip hop thing. It's pretty much the #1 music genre across the US. Far from death.
Man why is it I can never post videos?
I've so far given the titles to J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, maybe Wale at some point until I've finally came to the conclusion that Hip-Hop can't be saved until you get rid of Wayne.

Hip hop doesn't need saving. At all.
The early-mid 90's are never coming back. EVER. That was a once in a lifetime period that can never be recreated, and every genre has an era like that.
That said, hip hop is just as good if not better than it has been at any time in the 2000's. Romanticizing the past is pointless, there have always been "Wayne's".

I'm not romanticizing the past, remember I said I'm 14, so I was not really alive to witness the Golden Age. But Hip-Hop is at an all time low mainstream wise. Yes there's always been Waynes but right now Wayne pretty much controls the mainstream.

At one time, Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Puff Daddy, Master P, Nelly, and 50 Cent all controlled the mainstream.....and it actually mattered then. You actually couldn't really escape their bullshit music.
Now, you can. Mainstream means nothing. In 2012, I rarely have to listen to something that I don't want to. There are so many avenues for listening to what you want to listen to, that mainstream doesn't mean much.

This.
It's the reason why guys like KRIT and Yelawolf can sell 50k records (first week) without any mainstream promotion and also why Kendrick's projected to sell 200k his first week. There's always going to be people with shit taste in music. It doesn't matter whether Kendrick or Nicki Minaj is on the radio. The idiots will gravitate toward the shit.
I carved a pumpkin on Saturday. Check it out homies.
So badass man, haha, it's so awesome bro.
Oh, and to the point about Hip Hop being saved..sure, Hip Hop isn't dead but Rock music wasn't dead in the late 80's/early 90's but it still had shit music but then came along Nirvana. Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz etc. they are almost like Hip Hop's version of Motley Crue and Poison in terms of well, how can anyone, that being the everyday person relate to 2 Chainz? How can they relate to Lil Wayne? They can't.
Adam Sandlers movies that he produced made a ton at the Box Office but it doesn't mean that they were good or great movies, they were terrible. It's the same with Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz etc.
