Talent/charisma draws. Not size.

I haven't heard from Papoose in a minute.

Last song as I heard from him was that awful CM Punk "Pipe Bomb" song. I mean, it was a good idea but the outcome wasn't.

Her subject matter, gimmick, and pop music is what's runing her.

But yeah she buried them on that track

That Pipe bomb song wasn't legit, it's a Pap verse from Alphabetical Slaughter. Pap did fall off, makes songs like these now

.

Sigh

The first time I heard him was on the "Touch It Remix" with Busta Rhymes. I had never heard of him before that, I thought his verse was nice and thought he had a lot of potential but I never really heard from him again.

One of the great hip hop tragedies was the flood that destroyed a lot of RZA's records, including the beats he had lined up for Deck's solo debut which was supposed to come out in like 95-96. It ruined his album, and had to scrap it and by the time his first solo dropped in like '98, it wasn't nearly as good as everyone hoped. Big shame.

As for Kendrick's album sales......Combat Analyst, I told you he had a big buzz and growing fanbase and didn't need Gaga, and would do quite well if the music is good! I fully expected all that, but even I am surprised it's 200K +. Fantastic numbers. Word of mouth can still be a huge way to generate buzz, which is what has happened with twitter, blogs, reviews, message boards, etc.......EVERYONE(except Shyne....clown) is singing this album's praises, and generating more and more buzz.
Guess you're right, He has been bulding buzz this year with songs like the Recipe & Swimming Pools, appearing on 106 & Park

I finally listened to 1999 and I have to say this is the most overrated mixtape of all time. I'm not joking, good fucking god. Don't get me wrong, it's a good mixtape, 7/10. But people were calling Joey the savior of hip hop, the next top NY rapper, mixtape of the year, what the fuck? This probably wouldn't even make my top 5 mixtapes of the year, am I missing something here?

Kendrick selling over 200k is great, especially given rap album sales nowadays.

Since 2010, rap albums that sold 200k or more during the first week:
Tha Carter IV (964k)
Recovery (741k)
Take Care (631k)
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (496k)
Thank Me Later (447k)
Watch the Throne (436k)
Pink Friday (375k)
Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded (253k)
TM103 (233k)
God Forgives, I Don't (218k)
Cole World: Sideline Story (217k)
Cruel Summer (205k)
Lasers (204k)

Kendrick is in some great company with people like Wayne, Drake, Eminem, Jay-Z, Kanye, Nicki & Ross. It's great to see guys like Kendrick & Cole putting up numbers like this. Most people don't care about album sales, I generally don't but I like to see my favorite artists having success.

1999 was said to have alot of old school beats. Nostalgia can cloud ones mind.
