Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread
50 Cent is so eh. He had like one good album and like..yeah, he hasn't been the same. He did own Ja Rule in to oblivion though, where is Ja Rule these days? He was big as back in like 2001.

He is good, I love Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint but Tupac, Eminem and even Biggie who had a slim discography is better than Jay Z.

I take The Blueprint, Reasonable Doubt and The Black Album over any 2Pac album honestly.

Talent/charisma draws. Not size.

I'd personally listen to Me Against the World or All Eyez on Me over any Jay album any day of the week. And that includes Reasonable Doubt which is a clear classic for me and everyone else.

All Eyez on Me just has too much filler for me.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread
I'd only consider Got My Mind Made Up, Thug Passion, Skandalouz, and What's Ya # to be filler. Out of like 27 songs, that's not bad at all.

Got My Mind Made Up... filler?
I don't agree with that at all. That's a dope ass song with plenty of good verses. And I also like Thug Passion but I can agree on the other two. And how come Life After Death never gets any stick for having filler? Outside of the two or three skits, I'd consider Another, Nasty Boy, Playa Hater (a bit goofy, lol) and The World is Filled as skippable songs.

Life After Death has filler too. Pretty much every double album I've heard has them, but there are some exceptions.

But I've heard plenty of people call it the greatest double album and shit. For me, the only flawless double-album is Underground Kingz. At worst, the filler is still enjoyable to an extent. The guest appearances are also awesome for a big part. On All Eyez on Me, another problem is the annoying Outlawz features throughout it all. They are nothing special yet they find their way into most Pac songs.

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread
Playa Hater is, like you said, just straight goofy. Another I could take or leave. Depends on the day. I liked The World Is Filled though. Smooth beat, smooth flow on Biggie's part. Too Short could have fucked off though.
