I've seen Frank being mentioned as great in several forums so I gave the album a shot today. It's okay/pretty good. I certainly understand why someone would find this great, but R&B has never been my genre. Bad Religion is a great song, and Pink Matter too. The rest is too R&B'ish for me.
Sierra Leone is that joint too! A song that is very mellow and atmospheric with a great mix of music, voice, and various sound effects coming together. Nice record.
That's another favorite of mine man! Sierra Leone is so underrated.
Just recently heard Golden Girl featuring Tyler, which is the bonus cut for the album. Probably have to add it in my top five favorite songs of the album.
That style of music isn't my bag at all, but this guy is pretty damn impressive. His lyrics go beyond the usual schtick about money and girls, or your typical cheesy love songs. There's a lot of depth to his music which I like. Also I'm a huge production geek, and this album just SOUNDS brilliant.
his cd is awesome, ocean keeps this up he has potential to have a long and great future, thinking about you, fertilizer (i know its short but i like its old school swing style to it), pink matter and sierra leone most underrated track on the cd <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/gxhMqRKidBA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I played that song like 90 times in the span of a few days when I first heard it according to my iTunes. It being so short made the replay value high to me
