A Rush of Blood to the Head wasn't bad, there's a few tracks on there that are very solid. X&Y had potential, but they went way too heavy on the Kraftwerk influence and the writing wasnt anything special. As a pop album, it was fine.

Everything else I never gave two shits about. I heard a few tracks off the last album and the direction they're going in is so far away from their roots that it doesn't even sound like the same band. Reminds me of Muse.

I did like Anton Corbijn's Enjoy the Silence nod on the Violet Hill video, that was kinda cool.

I think Wish You Were Here is Pink Floyd's best album.

And well, this seems to be an unpopular opinion these days... I don't think Nevermind is at all overrated and deserves mention as one of the greatest albums of all time.

Speaking of Nirvana, I think In Utero > Nevermind. That's not to say that Nevermind was bad, it's a classic record that deserved the praise that it got.

Never got into Nirvana outside of about 2 songs. When it came to "grunge" I've always preferred Pearl Jam much, much more.

For me Nirvana and Pearl Jam were the overrated bands of the bunch. Nirvana it's was a mess majority of the time and Pearl Jam has been releasing the same album for at least 15 years. Even then, Ten and In Utero are awesome albums

But i'm more a fan of the previous bands in the movement like Mudhoney or Mother love Bone, so i think is normal, if that make sense

I'll never be able to hate on Nirvana since they were such a huge part of my childhood. The overdubs and emphasis of Beatles-like melodies made Nevermind a pop/grunge album more than anything, but you can't overlook Kurt Coban's raw and sincere vocal delivery. I think he's one of the all time greats. Guess that in and of itself is an unpopular opinion amungst some circles lol

Pearl Jam has mainstream reverence. I get that mindset.

Mudhoney.

I actually used to think so too. I prefer Nevermind myself these days, but it's one of those issues where I won't disagree with someone that likes In Utero more.
