Hey, Buddy Holly fan right here! I never thought I'd find another one haha. Wrestling + Buddy Holly isn't supposed to work, but we'll make it work dammit!

Same for me. I'm the same with AC/DC too (a few good songs but just can't get into them beyond those).

Re: Unpopular Music Opinions
I have a very eclectic mix of music on my ipod, that's for sure. I'll go from Buddy Holly, to The Faction, maybe throw in a little Behemoth and Ghoul and possibly finish up with some Mariachi El Bronx.

Re: Unpopular Music Opinions
feel the same way about G 'n' R....Like a few of there songs, but honestly November Rain could easily be one of the most brutalist songs I ever had to listen to, it just goes on and on and on....

Re: Unpopular Music Opinions
Robert Johnson, using the rules of 'who influenced your favourite band?', is quite possibly the most important modern musician, full stop.
And quite possibly one of the very best.
Is that unpopular? I think everyone loves the guy.

I generally don't follow that rule (given my disdain for The Beatles), but yeah, no denying Robert Johnson's impact on music.

It shouldn't be unpopular at all. I think it's more a case of a good amount of people not even having heard of him.
"Robert Johnson, using the rules of 'who influenced your favourite band?', is quite possibly the most important modern musician, full stop" isn't something that I'd imagine a lot of folks would hear and disagree with, as opposed to hearing it and looking at you like, "Who the fuck is Robert Johnson?"

I just don't enjoy the majority of their songs. I would not and could not deny their influence on the music industry, but as far as their music goes, I don't see what the big deal is.
