Re: Unpopular Music Opinions

GNRs best album was the spaghetti incident ?, primarily because they didn't write anything on it.

Muse are an abomination with one of the most deluded pig-headed fan bases i've ever encountered. "ITZ GUD CUZ ITS DIFFERENT!!", Dumbasses.

Paul was the talent in the beatles. Lennon is such a flawed person that i just can't get into any of his stuff (beating up his first wife, singing about forgetting material goods whilst walking around his big mansion with his wife.)

Baba O'Reily is better than every Rolling stones song.

Re: Unpopular Music Opinions

Barenaked Ladies are one of the best bands of the last 20 years. Also their song 'Call and Answer' is one of the best songs of the 00s.

Everything by Megadeth post Youthanasia I find dull.

Dogs > Shine on your crazy diamond, Echoes.

Pink is actually a pretty good singer, and i enjoy most of her albums (minus the first one)

I like Bon Jovi. Yes even the new stuff (although to a lesser degree)

Brand New's Daisy is NOT that great of an album. Especially compared to what came before

I like Creed. A lot. That's a very unpopular opinion to have on most corners of the internet. I own all of their albums. I know the lyrics to almost every song of theirs (sans the newest one). First time I heard "My Own Prison" on the radio, back when my city still had a rock station, it was pretty damn epic. Later on, they became a lot more "radio friendly" & the poppier (is that a word?) songs like "Higher" & "With Arms Wide Open" started getting the attention but their heavier stuff is still good. Mark Tremonti is an amazing guitarist (listen to his solo in "Stand Here With Me") and although Scott Stapp might be a pretentious son-of-a-bitch and a terrible live performer, he sounds great in the studio.

I also think Radiohead is terrible & I don't get the appeal of them at all.

Re: Unpopular Music Opinions

I really like power metal acts which are almost universally panned as cheesy. Stuff like Blind Guardian, Rage, Gamma Ray, Edguy, Iced Earth, Helloween. I love a band called Helloween, for fuck's sake.

I like the version by Walk Off The Earth much better. Love the video with the band all hunkered down just playing the one guitar between them. Pretty creative for a cover.

As far as an unpopular music opinion goes, I will say that I can't stand Green Day. I used to tolerate their music, and even liked a couple songs, but when they put out "21 Guns", I lost any respect I had for them. That PollyAnna-ish piece of crap is one of the worst songs I have ever heard, and they lost any credibility they had as artists in my eyes.

Re: Unpopular Music Opinions

Elvis was a thief, stole black songs not just that they where also popular songs. He was Vanilla Ice of his time.don't know why so many people like this guy he was just a pretty face. Even a black guy use to write his songs for him and he never payed him. I'm sick of people calling him King of Rock when he never did any work, all he had to do was smile to the camera. Guys like Jackie wilson, Ray Charles and Chuck berry use to do what he did way before him. And he got all the credits just because he was white!!!
Almost all of his songs all of his songs are just cover from popular songs. That's why people got sick of him in the 70's when James brown was dominating the music industry, they realised he was just a another phony guy.
